Abstract
Dealing with the reworking of Holan’s neo-symbolist trilogy, i.e. the collections Vanutí (Breezing, 1932), Oblouk (The Arch, 1934) and Kameni, přicházíš… (You are coming, stone, 1937), I compare the first edition of them with their last editions of 1965 and 1970. The reworking of Holan’s lyrical trilogy consists in replacing one or two words in a verse in most cases; rarely in an alteration of a half-verse and exceptionally in the replacement of an entire stanza. Although the changes are not significant in scope, they interestingly affect the semantic events of Holan’s poems.
