The symposium Network Markets and Bandwagons: Economic and Sociological Approaches to Increasing Returns presents a spectrum of research that investigates increasing returns that range from the importance of social pressure to economic incentives. Marketing and the Strategic Behaviour of Public and Nonprofit Organizations aimed to explore how the introduction of marketing techniques has changed the practice of public and non-profit management, to consider the extent to which marketing theory can be used to understand key issues in public and non-profit management and to evaluate if, and how, the practice of marketing within the public and non-profit sector has impacted upon the development of marketing theory.
