Abstract

Two carapaces of the hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) were buried in intertidal calcareous sands in a lagoonal setting of the Seychelles Islands (Indian Ocean). The taphonomic patterns are compared to similar ones from Upper Jurassic deposits of Central Europe
