Abstract

The contact between wheel and rail of railway has a strong influence on the running safety. But under the wet condition, adhesion coefficient between wheel and rail decease, and skid may occur when railway vehicle is breaking. This is a serious safety risk to the operation of vehicle. Therefore, many research to reveal the adhesion between wheel and rail have been performed. In this paper, we built a multibody dynamics simulation model of railway vehicle considering wheel slide re-adhesion control using Simpack, in order to study on the best way of breaking of railway vehicle under wet condition reflecting the previous research results. In addition, breaking simulation under low adhesion coefficient condition was performed using the simulation model with wheel slide re-adhesion control.
