Abstract
The article presents the results of developing a control algorithm for the activation time of the driver-side airbag in cars. The authors used C++ programming language to build the control algorithm. The research results show that when applying this algorithm to the airbag control model, some characteristics can be observed and tested, such as the airbag activation time being compatible with the magnitude of impact force. This implies that the larger the impact force (collision), the faster the airbag activation time will be. When the sensor loses its signal, the system will display an error on the car's display screen. This algorithm can also change the input data settings so that users can adjust the data to improve the airbag's optimal operation.
