Abstract
We read with interest the review article entitled “Buerger's disease: what has the last decade taught us?“ [1]. In his otherwise exhaustive analysis of therapeutic possibilities, Dr. Kröger dedicated only a few words to electrical spinal cord stimulation (SCS). In the past few years, however, the medical literature has reported successful utilization of implantable spinal cord stimulators in the United States, Greece, and Italy [2]. We recently treated a young female smoker affected with Buerger's disease with an implantable spinal cord stimulator, and there was a complete healing of all digital ulcers (at the level of left second, third, and fourth toes).
