Abstract
Press language is mainly conditioned by limited space and, at the same time, the news, the information must attract the readers’ attention. Be it newspapers, magazines or television, information is taken from the surrounding reality, which is why clear and precise language should be used, able to meet its first and primary objective: informing the public. An article of the most popular Italian newspaper, Il Corriere della Sera, published in March 2004, was chosen for this analysis.
