Abstract
The experience of the South Ural State University Scientific Library is discussed. The findings of the brain storm are reflected in two mindmaps: the first one embraces eight vectors of library promotion toward users; and the second one reveals the ideas for the Library’s services promotion. The incorporated brain storm ideas of five years are presented in tables which enables the author to make her conclusions.

Summary
The experience of the South Ural State University Scientific Library is discussed. The findings of the brain storm are reflected in two mindmaps: the first one embraces eight vectors of library promotion toward users; and the second one reveals the ideas for the Library’s services promotion. In 2011 the research library of the South Ural state university decided to gather as much as possible ideas for attracting users , and the brainstorming session was held. This method was chosen, because there are a lot of creative people in the library's staff. Целью мозгового штурма стало определение приоритетных направлений для НБ ЮУрГУ в привлечении пользователей: как и какими способами предоставлять информацию о ресурсах и услугах библиотеки. Поскольку с момента проведения мозгового штурма в НБ ЮУрГУ прошло более пяти лет, следует проанализировать, что удалось реализовать из выбранных направлений, какие идеи по продвижению услуг НБ ЮУрГУ оказались интересными и востребованными, а какие остались нереализованными.
