Abstract

Irritability is a common psychiatric symptom in youth, yet its neural correlates are ill-defined. Because clinical irritability typically manifests in the context of frustrative nonreward (FNR), i.e., omission of expected reward, FNR is an important research focus. We have developed new fMRI paradigms and analytic methods to investigate specific outstanding questions in FNR and irritability.
