Abstract

This case report highlights the importance of testing for visual field defects in patients presenting with any symptom that seems unusual. A visual field defect may be the only sign of a brain lesion which could have serious consequences if not detected. Venous angiomas and arteriovenous malformations in the brain are discussed briefly.
