Abstract

A simple theory of the novel mechanisms for high- T c superconductivity, proposed by the authors in ref. [1], is developed. It concludes a self-consistent solution of the Coulomb screening problem for layered conductors. The origin of superconductivity due to electron-electron umklapp scattering is proven. The theory gives definite indications what parameters of layered structures would be achieved to raise T c.
