Abstract
This article is concerned with the intermedial relationship among an embroidered piece attributed to Maria Doroteia, the embroidered dress of the cover art by Julia Panades, the poetry of Tomas Antonio Gonzaga, and the poetic prose of Ruth Silviano Brandao. Therefore, the objective is to point out the relationship between paratextual elements, according to Gerard Genette (2009), and the interplay between the textile text of Maria Doroteia's embroidery and Brandao's poetic-prose, based on Irina Rajewsky (2012) intermedial references.
