Abstract
This is the report of a workshop held in Berlin in August 1985 under the sponsorship of Schering AG, West Germany, edited by Dr Herbert Kaufmann, who instigated the Workshop to expand on a symposium at the 21st Congress of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology in Florence in 1984. Nineteen papers were presented by 17 lecturers, 13 from West Germany and one each from the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and USA. The dominant theme was non-ionic contrast media and the case for their increasing utilization in childhood, particularly in the neonatal period.
