Abstract

The object of this work is to carry out a framing analysis of Folha das Blusas Verdes, a column in the integralist newspaper A Offensiva. The Blusas Verdes movement was the integralist women's movement in the 1930s. Thus, the research discusses from the concept of countermovement how the Blusas Verdes competed with the feminsta movement of the time for a vision of the role of women in Brazilian society. Through two analysis frameworks: threat and duty, it was possible to understand how the countermovement had to deal with the new demands placed by and for women in the 1930s, giving conservative responses to the feminist movements of the time.
