Implementing blockchain technology in the Islamic finance sector, particularly in Islamic banking in Indonesia, holds significant potential to enhance transparency, efficiency, and security in transactions. However, its application still requires further research to ensure compliance with Islamic law principles. This study aims to analyze blockchain implementation in improving transparency, efficiency, and security in Islamic banking transactions while ensuring alignment with Sharia principles. A qualitative approach with a literature review is used, examining relevant sources on blockchain applications in the Islamic banking sector. The data for this study is gathered from scholarly articles, books, and related documents. The findings suggest that blockchain can improve transparency, reduce intermediaries, accelerate transactions, and enhance security. However, the primary challenge lies in adapting to Sharia regulations, which requires collaboration between regulators, financial institutions, and technology experts. Strengthening regulations and gaining a deeper understanding of this technology will support wider adoption in the Islamic banking sector.

  • Emmanuel Paul-Emeka George + 2 more

Blockchain technology revolutionizes financial services by enhancing security, transparency, and efficiency in transactions and services. This paper examines the fundamental aspects of blockchain, including its core concepts and components, and explores its application in financial services. Blockchain's cryptographic hashing, decentralization, and immutability significantly improve security by preventing tampering and reducing fraud risks. Increased transparency through immutable audit trails, real-time updates, and open ledgers fosters trust among customers, regulators, and institutions. Furthermore, blockchain streamlines operations by automating processes, reducing intermediaries, and expediting transactions, resulting in substantial cost reductions and improved efficiency. Despite these advantages, challenges such as scalability, interoperability, regulatory uncertainty, and environmental impact must be addressed for widespread adoption. The prospects of blockchain in financial services are promising, with potential applications in decentralized finance, digital identity verification, and central bank digital currencies. This paper underscores the transformative potential of blockchain technology in creating a more secure, transparent, and efficient financial ecosystem.

Technological developments are currently very fast, one of which is in Financial Technology (Fintech). In Indonesia, since the publication of e-money, every year there has been an increase in the amount of emoney flowing. However, the population stated that it is smaller than the total population of Indonesia in productive age. It can be concluded that there are still Indonesians of productive age who still do not use e-money. This study aims to see how the influence of public perceptions, efficiency and security of transactions on the interest in reusing e-money. Relationship between Public Perception, Efficiency and Security of Transactions partially and simultaneously on the Interest of Reusing E-money. The population in this study were all Muslim millennials of Malang City who used the OVO application. Samples were taken using a formula for the number of unknown population with the results of 100 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results showed that public perception had a positive and significant effect on the interest in using e-money as evidenced by the path coefficient of 0.256 and the t statistic of 2.574, the value was greater than t table (1.96) or p ≤ 0.05. Efficiency has a positive and significant effect on interest in using e-money as evidenced by the path coefficient value of 0.386 with a statistical value of 4.142. A Note on the Analysis of Time Cost by Difference of Transaction System in the Agricultural Wholesale Market of Korea
  • Mar 1, 2012
  • American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences
  • A

Problem statement: The purpose of this study is to prove objectively that the market-wholesaler system, introduced to agricultural wholesale market in Korea for the first time, has better operational efficiency than the existing auction system. From an analytical viewpoint, we estimated the time value of two transaction systems at the agricultural wholesale market using the calculation methods of the congestion cost and the accumulation cost, and estimated the operational efficiencies divided by product family and item. Approach: We used data from the Statistical Resource of Agricultural and Marine Wholesale Market by Year for the research conducted in this study. Results: As a result, we were able to analyze and conclude that the market-wholesaler system had a relatively lower time cost than the auction system by utilizing the time required from the agricultural carrying-in to the preparation for sale by the transaction system at the agricultural wholesale market and calculating the total time cost for 16 main items into the amounts. These results prove that the market wholesaler system has a better efficiency than the auction system. Conclusion: Therefore, if the market-wholesaler system can be enlarged and introduced into Korea’s 32 agricultural wholesale markets as the policy implicates by the study results, we can conclude that the transaction efficiency within the agricultural wholesale market will be better and it will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the whole agricultural and fishery distribution industry.

Cognitive Data Allocation for Auction-based Data Transaction in Mobile Networks
  • Jun 1, 2018
  • Jun Du + 5 more

The unprecedented growth of the volume of mobile data calls for novel approaches that improve the sharing of data allowances among mobile users with diverse needs. Specifically, the Wi-Fi hotspot function of current smartphones allows mobile-to-mobile offloading, but requires fast and efficient transactions between mobile users. Thus we propose an auction-based approach to allow the transfer of data allowances between mobile users with excess and deficits of data allowances, together with a cognitive approach to access the needed information about the system. The objective is to optimize the income of “sellers” and satisfy the needs of the other mobile users. Analytical and simulation results are presented, showing that by taking advantage of mobile users’ behaviors, and of varying demands of data allowance selling and buying, the cognitive auction and data allocation mechanism can significant improve the overall performance of the mobile data allowance transaction system.

Pengembangan Prototipe Token Transaksi Cryptocurrency SDSPay Berbasis Blockchain Ethereum
  • Aug 5, 2025
  • Jurnal Teknik Informatika dan Teknologi Informasi
  • Virgian Galang Sasongko + 2 more

The transformation of digital payment systems through blockchain technology has brought new challenges and opportunities in the development of secure, efficient, and decentralized crypto tokens. One emerging approach is the use of smart contract-based tokens, such as ERC-20 tokens running on the Ethereum network. This research proposes the design and implementation of the SDSPay (SDS) token as a prototype Ethereum-based ERC-20 token, with a modern smart contract approach to meet the needs of a more efficient and secure digital payment system. The SDS token adopts the basic ERC-20 standard but is equipped with advanced features that enhance functionality and security, such as role-based access control (RBAC) to regulate access and control over transactions, pauseable transactions to pause transactions if necessary, and compatibility with EIP-2612 permits that enable more efficient transaction authorization in terms of gas. These features are designed to improve the efficiency and security of transactions on blockchain networks, thus enabling the use of tokens in a more reliable digital payment system. The SDS token prototype was tested on the Sepolia Testnet using Remix IDE and MetaMask to develop and manage smart contracts. Additionally, a static security audit was conducted using Slither Analyzer to detect potential vulnerabilities. The test results showed that the SDS token was successfully deployed and performed well, with an average transaction time of 10–12 seconds and stable gas fees. The Slither audit also found no significant vulnerabilities, indicating that the smart contract structure adheres to security best practices. This study confirms that the development of standardized smart contract-based tokens can be carried out using an efficient, reliable, and replicable methodology for other applications in future blockchain-based payment systems. This implementation of the SDSPay (SDS) token can serve as a foundation for designing secure and efficient digital payment systems, paving the way for the broader development of blockchain technology.
