Abstract

For the first time, a rough and thick film of doped praseodymium nickel oxide [Pr 2 NiO 4+( ) has been obtained by combining spray pyrolysis deposition technique with Rapid Thermal Annealing (RTA) process. The precursors are nitrate solutions, the thermal decomposition of which has been studied. Spectral emissivity measurements in the far and mid infrared range at T=1000 K demonstrate the strong blackbody character of the film. This feature suits very well to operate a ceramic infrared radiant plate with high thermal efficiency.
