Abstract

Biotransformation of methyl mercuric chloride in germ free rats was followed by specific determination of inorganic mercury. Inorganic mercury in the intestinal content from the caecum and in faeces was compared to corresponding samples obtained from control rats. No differences in biotransformation could be detected in germ free and control rats.
