Abstract

SUMMARYBioassay of residues of benomyl applied as orchard sprays has demonstrated the persistence of fungicide on apple fruits. Surface concentrations of fungicide from June applications were 60 % of those from July and August applications; this difference may be related to the relative sizes of fruits and leaves. The harvest residues were low and even after post‐harvest dipping, were well within acceptable levels.
