Abstract
Observations of chaos and period doubling in a repetitively triggered monostable multivibrator circuit are reported, with the time between trigger pulses as the bifurcation parameter. A theory is presented which predicts the first bifurcation point. Measurements of an experimental circuit confirm the predictions of this theory. The consequences for concurrent digital systems are briefly considered.
