Abstract

Nano-gold supported on titanium silicalite-1 catalyst (Au/TS-1), prepared by the deposition precipitation (DP) method with Cs2CO3 as the precipitation agent, was tested for gas-phase epoxidation of propylene. Interestingly, the catalytic performances including PO selectivity and H2 efficiency at lower temperature (164°C) are better than those at higher temperature (200°C), which is mainly attributed to the change of Au particle size. However, the carbon deposits on catalyst surface as well as the surface acid amount of catalyst have little effect. 164°C may be a promising reaction temperature.
