Abstract

New results obtained during the study of D implanted W (001) single crystal are presented. The reemission curves at different temperatures, evolution of microstructure, in-depth profiling of radiation damage and implanted deuterium, retention of deuterium atoms and molecules are described. All the data are compared with the results on D implanted Be and BeO. The analysis includes consideration of the energetics of hydrogen isotopes solubility, diffusivity, trapping, and chemisorption for non-irradiated materials mentioned above.
