Abstract

Statement of the problem. The study discusses the issue of determining the bearing capacity for inclined sections of two-layer bending T-section elements with high-strength concrete in a compressed zone. Normative documentation for the calculation and design of reinforced concrete structures does not take into account the flanges of T-section to determine the bearing capacity. The problem was to define the influence of the mechanical characteristics of concrete of the flanges on the bearing capacity of the elements. Elements without transverse reinforcement and with different classes of concrete in the flange are considered. Results. According to the results of numerical modeling, characteristic patterns of the stress-strain state at the limit state of the bearing capacity of the elements have been established. The relations of the bearing capacity on the span of the cut and the class of concrete compression of flange are given. The values of the bearing capacity of the elements were obtained without taking into account the overhangs of the shelf according to SP 63.13330.2018 and EN 1992-1-1. Conclusions. It is found that, contrary to the logic of the normative documentation SP 63.13330.2018 and EN 1992-1-1, the overhangs of the flange of the T-section beam affect the bearing capacity of the element along the inclined section. Increasing the physical and mechanical properties of concrete separately from the two-layer element forms even greater reserves of bearing capacity.
