Abstract

The results of a numerical simulation of a few Josephson-junction unit cells and phase-locked 1- and 2-D arrays based on the cells are presented. The numerical simulation was performed by means of the PSCAN program in the framework of both RSJ and Werthamer models of Josephson junctions with finite intrinsic capacitance. It is shown that 1-D arrays, as well as 2-D arrays, can keep a phase-locked oscillation state within wide critical current margins |/spl Delta/I/sub c/| up to 40%. The possible fabrication and use of the phase-locked structures are discussed.
