Abstract

Recent experimental results on the relaxation of the remanent magnetization (after various aging procedures) have been used to study the temperature dependence of the barrier heights between the metastable states of spin glasses. It is suggested that, in the range 0.8< T/ T g<1, the temperature vation of the barriers only dependes on T-T ∗ where T ∗ characterizes each particular barrier Δ ∗. As the temperature is lowered, the height of Δ ∗ increases and diverges at T ∗ . The emerging picture is consistent with that of a contiuous series of micro-phase transitions below T g, as suggested from theoretical arguments.
