Abstract

Summary Bankhead Moss, a small raised bog in east Fife, was studied with special emphasis being put on vegetation, water content of the peat, pH and nutrient status; contrasts with the adjacent willow carr are brought out. Despite its small size the bog supports a typical raised bog flora; this is illustrated by a comparison with the type described by Ratcliffe (1964).
