Abstract

Just like a well-played pool game , single atom catalysts lead to novel and exciting catalytic routes. As in the game, the substrate, the density of single atoms, and their position influence the path and successful outcome. Sung June Cho, Roger Rousseau, Janos Szanyi, Ja Hun Kwak, and co-workers present in their Research Article on page 22769 a combined experimental and theoretical study highlighting the role of Pd single atoms on CeO2 and the electronic effects in CO oxidation.
