Abstract
In this research, the authors simulate a fourth-order Emden–Fowler model by developing the composite numerical algorithm with the composition of semi-orthogonal linear B-spline wavelets and Newton–Raphson (NR) method. In the present algorithm, spatial discretization is achieved through the utilization of compactly supported semi-orthogonal B-spline scaling and wavelet functions. Then the nonlinear system of equations is obtained and simulated by the NR method. The convergence of the NR method is demonstrated by the theorem of spectral radius. Further, error analysis of B-spline wavelets is discussed and prove that the error bound is negative exponentially proportional to the resolution level.
