Abstract

Studying Minority Folklore: Realities and Prospects Summary This article delves into the current state of knowledge regarding the folklore of minority peoples residing in Azerbaijan. It aims to shed light on the existing challenges within this realm and delve into their historical causes. In addition to purposeful collecting and research efforts, the author highlights the importance of utilizing samples of folk art previously collected and preserved in the form of manuscripts stored in museums across various countries, as well as in private collections. Another highlighted priority is the meticulous task of identifying and rectifying additions, deletions, and distortions that have been introduced into the structure, poetics, and ideological content of oral epic samples across different historical periods.
