Abstract

Between 10 and 15% of infertile men have a diagnosis of azoospermia, which can be classified as either obstructive (OA) or nonobstructive (NOA)(1). It is known that the risk of multifetal gestations, prematurity, low birth weight, small for gestational age, perinatal mortality, cesarean delivery, placenta previa, abruptio placentae, preeclampsia, and birth defects appear to be inherently increased among patients undergoing ART. It is also known that children conceived by ICSI have a higher absolute risk of these conditions with the addition of epigenetic syndromes(2,3).
