Abstract

Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) lead to epidemiologically and clinically distinct form of Orpharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OPSCC). HPV-positive OPSCCs have risk factors related to sexual behaviour whereas HPV-negative cancers strongly co-related with tobacco and alcohol usage. In addition HPV-positive patients have substantially better survival than compared with HPV-negative patients.
