Abstract
El trabajo hace un recorrido por el proceso de investigación de biografías de mujeres de la primera mitad del siglo XX en espacios de frontera. Es una autoetnografía que busca, desde el conocimiento situado, explorar el concepto de serendipia para situar la experiencia de escribir biografías de mujeres como Ethel Duffy Turner al recurrir a conceptos y categorías como lo transnacional. Finalmente, el texto ofrece posibilidades y retos para la escritura desde el yo, situando nuestra investigación y reconociendo la contingencia de las subjetividades, encrucijadas, hallazgos y sorpresas en la investigación histórica.
