Abstract

While the subtitle of this book suggests that it is written for ‘parents and professionals,’ the writing would seem to be designed chiefly for the former. Since, however, it is not at all sinful for a physician to gain medical knowledge from a lay journal, this text on a 20-year-old but still cloudy subject, has much to recommend it. Dr. Wing, experienced with this group of children, sets forth not only a clear picture of the symptomatology but equally a good exposition of the current controversies on etiology, with a well-supported bias towards the organic source.
