Abstract

The purpose of the work is to researching one of the actual part of the trial “composer — performs — listeners”, namely, composer imagination about the place of his creation in the traditions and contemporary musical context.This self-knowledge form named as “author’s analyze” is the kind of scientific creation. The object of the article is the Victor Stepurko’s scientific creation. He is the well-known contemporary Ukrainian composer. The base of our research are still about his articles, interviews, comments and about other his conceptual searches in the area of composition’s theory and psychology. The subject of the article is the concert is the author’s analyze as scientific creation’s phenomenon. It provides the detail describe of the own piece’s language, technique — by composer. And it open the worldview positions by author, his genre and style preferences, over musical connections of his works, their history and program; also it shows his understanding of composer method’s evolution. Author’s analyze is the first phase of creative process “composer — performers — listeners” in interaction. The research methodology is comprehensive: this methodological approach allows to reveal Stepurko’s art activity and include the different types of comprehensive analyze, deductive and paradigmatically methods.The scientific novelty of the work is to research the adding factors in the contemporary creative process; namely, over musical ones. Composer’s creation is developing now in the way by widening creative forms; art making process is more completely thanks to including in his area nonmusical phenomena’s. That is why one of the first need is analytic means’ renewing. One of the knowledge source to explore the senses of culture building process author’s musical analyses become. This variety of composer’s oneself meaning is an important part of musicology science an auxiliary study in musical interpretation. In article the main stages of author’s evolution was shown: the first early stage (1970–1980), when he attentively studied the traditions of Ukrainian choir music for the beginning of 20 centuries; and this influences are the main in his early works. In second period (1990–2000) the genre and style pluralism and avant-garde ideas made the special influence on the developing process of his sacred music; and in his works now, in present time after 2000 spiritual music stay as the main direction of his creation. Needing in modernization some sacral choir genres (as dogmatic songs, styhiras, antiphons, cants) discovered genetic connections from different cultural eras, such as baroque, Romanism, impressionism, new folk, postmodern.The main Stepurko’s contribution in the developing process of Ukrainian musical culture is the renaissance of native genre’s palette by choir music, the forming of Ukrainian culture’s conception. The creation of Victor Stepurko is very popular in musicologies discovering, which treat as the base rule of his esthetic means the idea of Artistic Introversion (as the topic of his Doctor thesis). V. Stepurko’s main worldview position — as the following the way of God — conditioned by his stylish, esthete, arts and human experience. V. Stepurko composed the course “The principles of musical compositions” (2011), also he is the author of Doctor thesis “Manifestations as an Artistic Introversion in the Works of Ukraine Composers in the Second Half of the XX” (2017).In description of Ukrainian composer school beginning (in 15 century around) he lined its European roots and unique melodically reflections, which widely appear in sacred music for choir, especially in cants. This genre has its own no repeat poetry. Looking of the sense of the Artistic Introversion in the examples of oneself creation are the attempts to clear philosophical and poetic symbolism specifies, especially, in contemporary musical art. Victor Stepurko’s creation is rich for pieces of different genres, especially for choir. He is not only composer, but also an author of conceptions and ideas in the area of musical theory and psychology. Author’s analyze of composer method help to understand his main psychological and philosophical core. Poetry for him is the point to meeting God. The dualism of traditions — by Christian missioners and by pantheistic inspirations, which are for him as two sides of World Soul. In his works composer try to make balance between contemporary means of expressiveness and listeners.His method develop in a way of means renew in a within the religious Canon and sacral symbols. His original theory of Artistic Introversion which based on examples of Ukrainian composer’s creation of the last time, show their artistic attempts to make New World integrity. In conclusions, the idea of way to the God as the sacral centre of his creativity is the main rule of his poetical dialog with humanity and is the base of his art activity.
