Abstract

Background: MSCC is defined as spinal cord or cauda equina compression due to spinal metastases. Early diagnosis and treatment is essential to prevent neurological damage. The key diagnostic and treatment planning investigation is whole spine MRI, which according to NICE guideline CG 75 should be performed within 24h in patients presenting with spinal pain suggestive of metastatic disease and accompanied by neurological symptoms or signs.
