Abstract

Abstract In the diagnosis and treatment of children with the MBD/hyperactive syndrome there are certain continuing errors which may jeopardize a child's future and which cannot be excused in the light of advances in knowledge and experience in the last decade. Among these are inflexible family‐centered diagnostic orientation, deficient habits in obtaining histories, report‐writing, post‐diagnostic follow‐up, and some Special Education semantic errors which lead in wrong directions.
