Abstract

Asymmetrasca decedens was the most important of three leafhoppers found infesting almond trees in eastern Spain in late summer 1996, causing stunting of the shoots with small curled leaves. Only non‐bearing trees were affected. Although the species has previously been recorded on peach in Spain, this is the first record on almond.
