Abstract
An unusual microscopic feature of a case of fibrocystic mastopathy is reported. Among the chronic inflammatory cells within the mammary stroma were scattered multinucleated histiocytes, some of which contained asteroid bodies. The patient showed no evidence of sarcoidosis.
