Abstract

To the Editor: Systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SJIA) is an inflammatory disease with an estimated incidence of 0.4 to 0.9 cases per 100,000 children.1,2 The diagnosis of SJIA is based on a cluster of clinical arguments including a typical skin rash that is transient (vanishes within <24 hours), nonpruritic, maculo-papular, salmon-pink and correlated with acute febrile episodes.1,2
