Abstract

For the assessment of the representative CARS result, the emission spectroscopy was conducted in order to obtain the rotational and vibrational temperature distribution behind the shock wave. Based on the comparison of temperatures by these method, it was found that the temperature determination method from the CARS spectrum could not be sufficiently accurate. This is caused by the simplified calculation of the theoretical CARS spectrum which is used for the temperature determination. Therefore, for the more accurate temperature determination, the pressure effect should be involved for the theoretical CARS spectrum calculation.
