Abstract
AbstractSupply chains are prone to unpredictable events that negatively impact their ability to function effectively. The study shows that worldwide rankings may be used to determine the uncertainty profile of the supply chain in a given country or region. Supply chain uncertainties in Kazakhstan and Russia are due to insufficient transport infrastructure, high‐level corruption, and relatively low ICT adoption. Favorable business conditions give rise to fewer uncertainties and affect supply chain management in a better way.
