Abstract

The study examined the cost implication of using GSM by undergraduates in Nigeria, using the students of Enugu State University of Science and Technology as a case study.The researcher adopted survey research method, and questionnaire was used as a measuring instrument, in the collection of data for the study.The data collected were analysed statistically with the aid of tables and percentages. The hypotheses formulated for the study were tested with the aid of a statistical tool, chi square (x 2 ).The results of the study among others showed that the cost of GSM services are beyond the reach of undergraduate students. It also showed that the students do recharge their phones, while some have multiple phones.
