Abstract
Introduction Non-melanoma skin cancers are the most common forms of skin cancer in the UK. As complete excision is the preferred treatment, head and neck lesions are associated with significant mortality and may pose reconstructive difficulties. Hence, NICE recommends referral for all suspected SCCs on the urgent suspected cancer (USC) pathway.
