Abstract

Various obstacles faced by small traders in developing and opening a business include low levels of formal education and skills in business, minimal trading experience, problems with trading capital, consumer behavior (consumerism), most of them do not have their own capital. loan sharks, and some of the items sold are commission items). This study aims to measure aspects that might affect the income and welfare of small traders at Glugur Market Rantauprapat. This research was conducted at Glugur Market, Rantauprapat City, Labuhanbatu Regency with a sample of 40 traders using a simple random sampling technique. This research is in the form of a survey of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is taken directly through the questionnaire instruments from traders. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and data analysis using IBM SPSS AMOS path analysis. From the results of the study that the trading hours variable does not affect the income variable, the capital variable directly influences the income variable, the trading experience variable directly influences the income variable and the income variable directly does not affect the welfare variable.
