Abstract

The calibration procedure to determine the absorbed dose within a phantom irradiated with fast neutrons is described for ionization chambers. A comparison between values of the neutron dose determined with paired ionization chambers and values of the neutron fluence measured with a fission chamber (238U) is given. The comparison indicates the energy variation of the fast neutrons within a phantom irradiated with 14 MeV neutrons.
