Abstract

A High Court ruling on whether the public inquiry into allegations of patient abuse at Ashworth Hospital should go ahead is expected to be delivered this week. The inquiry has announced its intention to reconvene in Liverpool next Monday, subject to the Court's judgement. The judicial review was sought by the Prison Officers' Association after it alleged that nurses were not afforded natural justice and that the Chair, Louis Blom-Cooper QC was biased.
