Abstract

In the present investigation, it is attempted to remove arsenic from smelter industrial wastewater through electrocoagulation. Experiments covering a wide range of operating conditions for removal of the arsenic present in the smelter wastewater are carried out in a batch electrochemical reactor. Mild Steel and Stainless Steel plates have been used as the anode and cathode respectively. It has been observed from the present work that arsenic can be removed effectively through electrocoagulation.
