Abstract

In the year 1993, Gupta and Srivastava [1], introduced integral modification of Baskakov operator having weights of Szasz basis functions, to approximate Lebesgue integral function on the interval [0,\(\infty\)). They obtained some direct results in simultaneous approximation. In the present chapter, we extend the study for Lp-approximation and introduce the Baskakov-Szasz-Stancu operators. We prove a direct theorem for the linear combinations of Baskakov-Szasz Stancu type operators. To prove our main theorem, we use the technique of linear approximation method viz. Steklov mean.
