Abstract

A Galerkin-type method for the approximate solution of end-driven flows in a rapidly-rotating, sectored gas centrifuge is described. The model yields a two-dimensional non-self-adjoint eigenvalue problem. In addition to the treatment of convergence questions, sample calculations for approximate eigensolutions are presented and compared to similar results for the open-cylinder case.
