Abstract
Odile Husain, The Psychoanalytical Approach and the Comprehensive System : Do All Roads Lead to Rome ? Confronting the psychoanalytical approach of the Rorschach and the Comprehensive System immediately raises a question of definition. Whereas the Comprehensive System generates a unified representation among its users, the same cannot be said for practitioners who claim their affiliation to the analytical approach. We will first examine compatibility as a trend and will wonder about the need for differentiating an addition of models from an integration of models. At a time when the tendency is one of reconciliation, we shall agree to disagree and will look upon these two models as both divergent and incompatible. Lastly, we will examine certain points of convergence which do not necessarily contradict the viewpoint of incompatibility. Keywords : Rorschach - Analytical approach - Comprehensive System - Integration
