Artificial Intelligence (Hereinafter, AI) technology has attraction in recent years. AI technology is a combination of the software technology represented by “Deep Learning” and the hardware technology represented by “GPU”. GPU stands for Graphic Processing Unit. And the GPU has the function of performing parallel processing at high speed like a human brain. The current AI system is established by the evolution of “GPU” and “Deep Learning”. Deep learning is often taken up, but the current AI technology can't be explained without GPU evolution. Current AI technology is established with balance between software and hardware technologies. As is well known, high performance AI technology is applied in the field of driving of automobiles and security system. On the other hand, utilization of AI in the cosmetic field has been delayed. Because the current AI still can't analyze human emotions and feelings. “Beauty” has to analyze human instinctive area, which is very difficult. In the area of “Beauty”, virtual make-up is realized by image processing. Or it is used for analysis of skin color and so on. For example, take a photo of skin color by the smart-phone and customize the foundation that matches skin color. In this way, AI is beginning to be used gradually even in the cosmetics field. In this paper, we will give an opinion on the application of AI to cosmetics.

Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has made leaps and bounds since its invention. AI technology can be subdivided into many technologies such as machine learning and deep learning. The application scope and prospect of different technologies are also totally different. Currently, AI technologies play a pivotal role in the highly complex and wide-ranging medical field, such as medical image recognition, biotechnology, auxiliary diagnosis, drug research and development, and nutrition. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common gastrointestinal cancer that has a high mortality, posing a serious threat to human health. Many CRCs are caused by the malignant transformation of colorectal polyps. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to CRC prognosis. The methods of diagnosing CRC are divided into imaging diagnosis, endoscopy, and pathology diagnosis. Treatment methods are divided into endoscopic treatment, surgical treatment, and drug treatment. AI technology is in the weak era and does not have communication capabilities. Therefore, the current AI technology is mainly used for image recognition and auxiliary analysis without in-depth communication with patients. This article reviews the application of AI in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of CRC and provides the prospects for the broader application of AI in CRC.

This systematic review aims to synthesize the current knowledge about the applications and challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in healthcare, while evaluating the extent to which the European Union (EU) AI Act and the European Health Data Space (EHDS) contribute to ensuring responsible, secure, and ethically sound adoption of AI in clinical practice. This review adheres to the guidelines set by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and has also been registered in PROSPERO. The PubMed®, Web of Science™, Scopus and ScienceDirect® databases were used as scientific search strategy. In addition, records identified through other sources (grey literature) were also assessed for eligibility and included. All studies published between 2020 and 2024 about the application of AI and its regulation and ethical implications, particularly in healthcare, were included. Eligible studies were assessed for potential risk of bias during data extraction and quality evaluation screening. A total of 76 studies were included. Although AI technologies have several applications in the healthcare sector such as disease diagnosis, treatment, clinical data management, automated surgery, remote health monitoring, elderly patient care and/ or biomedical research, important ethical issues are raised when using AI, namely data privacy, safety, lack of transparency, explainability, trust and potential biases. A proper application and compliance with established ethical principles, and legal regulations such as the EU AI Act and the EHDS are fundamental to ensure a responsible, safe, sustainable and trustworthy use of AI in healthcare.

Purpose This study aims to extend the classic perceived organizational support (POS)–turnover intention (TI) relationship in the context of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in contemporary hotels. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted an explanatory sequential design. Stage 1 – Quantitative Methodology. A total of 554 valid questionnaires with the random sampling technique were collected with the help of the China Hotel Association. This study combined SPSS and SmartPLS software to verify hypotheses. Stage 2 – Qualitative Methodology. This section obtained a sample size of 24 interviewees with the objective sampling technique. The researchers transcribed all interview materials into text and used NVivo version 14 to explain the results of hypothesis testing. Findings This study shows that POS significantly impacts employee TI in contemporary hotels with AI applications, and both the perceived value and threat of AI play partial mediating roles between the two. Research limitations/implications The results are conducive to providing practical enlightenment for the contemporary hotel industry with AI applications. Practical implications In contemporary hotels where AI technology is widely used, this study provides practical guidance for hotel managers, employees and AI technology developers from the dual perspectives of value and threat, aiming to minimize the TI among hotel employees caused by AI technology. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the initial attempt to design a dual mediation model with the perceived AI for the POS–TI relationship.

Medical audit refers to the process of systematically reviewing patients’ medical records, billing data, and other data according to cost and quality standards. This study reviewed the applicability, opportunities, and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the field of medical audit. Medical audits ensure that insurers provide quality healthcare services and that prevent inadequate expenditures; however, it is a complex and time-consuming task. AI Technology can greatly improve this process. Specifically, AI can reduce claims errors for health care providers, automate the audit process, or support the decision-making of the reviewer, thereby reducing the time and cost required for medical audit. Furthermore, AI technology can detect patterns or anomalies that humans may overlook, facilitating the early identification of potential issues. This enables AI to improve the operational efficiency and accuracy of medical audits, and ultimately contributing to the enhancement of services provided to patients. Nevertheless, technical and ethical challenges such as data quality, fairness, and transparency persist. To address these challenges, close collaboration among the medical community, technical experts, and policymakers is essential. Additionally, empirical research on actual application cases of AI and their outcomes is necessary.
